ABOUT

There is no need to “fret”… rock is alive and well. British-American-French 4-piece, The Frets, are proof that indeed - energetic guitar based rock is here to stay.

The Frets truly are a modern day rock band, a testament to how technology can bring together a group across three countries and four cities. "We formed through the world of Instagram, Facebook and craigslist" guitarist/producer Cody Seeger explains. "we were all transplants, new to southern California with similar taste in music and a passion to create energetic rock music."

The band currently calls Southern California (San Diego/L.A.) home - although front man, Liam Wilkes, hails from Manchester, UK and Drummer - Marc Poilt from France.  “I may be the only Brit in the band… but a great majority of our influence comes from British Rock bands like - Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, The Kooks, etc.” vocalist-guitarist Liam Wilkes says.

Highly anticipated - New music is set to be released Fall of 2021.

The Frets accomplishments include:  Song of the Year Winner 2020 (Naive Adolescence) - San Diego Music Awards, Best Rock Act Nomination 2019 by SD Music Awards, 91x Local Break, Headline Springboard Festival.

Festivals: Cali Love Music Festival, Springboard, Rocktober Fest (L.A.), Winterfest, Pacific Beachfest, North Park Festival,

Band: Liam Wilkes (lead vocals/rhythm guitar) Cody Seeger (lead guitar/vocals) William Santana (bass guitar) Marc Polit (drums/vocals)

Influences: Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Kings of Leon, Queens of the Stone Age.

"The Frets won the Song of the Year award for “Naïve Adolescence.” By doing so, they beat out such better-known fellow nominees as Switchfoot, blink-182, P.O.D. , As I Lay Dying and Hirie."

- San Diego Union Tribune

"The Frets are an incredible band with INSANE energy. Even as a company that has seen countless shows for nearly ten years, this band completely blew us away!
